wormate.io uses the same gameplay as the classic snake game. You begin the game by controlling a small worm. As mentioned, the goal is to make the worm bigger by directing it to clumps of food scattered around the arena. The worm moves constantly and consumes whatever it crosses path with.
Don't worry, though. There will be plenty of food to eat. There are even boosters that can help you grow your worm faster. More than that, you can also make the worm eat coins, which adds extra points. In turn, these points will help you climb the leader board.
However, the game is not that easy. Since this is an online multiplayer game, there will be other worms slithering across the arena. You need to outpace them to get to the food ahead of them.

The worm moves at a slow pace, and you need to put two fingers on the screen to accelerate its speed. However, do that with caution as you might end up bumping into other worms in the arena.
You also need to put more effort into directing your worm to where you want it to go as the controls can be a little bit unresponsive. There are times that you need to move your fingers a few times just to make your worm turn. The clunky control can also cause your worm to bump into others in the arena.
